Display Energy Certificates (DECs) & Advisory Reports (ARs) are required for public buildings in Lytham St Anne's and those occupied by public authorities that have a total floor area > 1,000m2 (GIA) and provide a public service to a large number of people, e.g. a hospital or school.

A DEC shows the energy performance of a building based on actual energy consumption as recorded annually over periods of up to the last three years.
