Nottinghamshire - Display Energy Certificates
Since October 2008, Display Energy Certificates For Public Buildings (DEC) & Advisory Reports have been a legal requirement.
Display Energy Certificates (DECs) & Advisory Reports (ARs) are required for public buildings in Nottinghamshire and those occupied by public authorities that have a total floor area > 1,000m2 (GIA) and provide a public service to a large number of people, e.g. a hospital or school.
A DEC shows the energy performance of a building based on actual energy consumption as recorded annually over periods of up to the last three years. The PENALTY is £500 for failing to display a DEC at all times in a prominent place clearly visible to the public and £1,000 for failing to have possession of a valid advisory report.
In addition to the aforementioned penalties, it is still necessary to commission the documents; the DEC is valid for 1 year. E2 Consultants provides affordable Display Energy Certificates, we have experienced assessors equipped & qualified to undertake any type of building anywhere in the UK, no matter how complex or diverse the structure is.
All E2's Display Energy Certificate (DEC) assessors have a prompt turnaround time.
